
$10,000 Available for 5 CA Elementary Schools!
Application Due Wednesday, May 26th
Thanks to the California Department of Public Health, five (5) "SPARKpower" grants (valued at $10,000 each) are available for California public elementary schools to implement a SPARK After School, K-2 Physical Education, or 3-6 Physical Education program.
This is an amazing opportunity to provide an award-winning, research-based physical activity program for your school! Each $10,000 SPARKpower grant package includes:
- SPARK Premium Program of choice (2 full-days of on-site, "hands on" training for up to 30 staff)
- SPARK Curriculum and Instructional Materials
- SPARK Workshop Equipment Kit
- 1-Year Membership to SPARKfamily.org (for each teacher)
- Extensive Follow-Up Support
Eligibility:
- California public elementary schools (K-5 or K-6)
- At least 50% of students qualify to receive free/reduced lunch
- Must be able to host a full day (6 hours) teacher-training (in program of choice) at your site, between June 10 and June 30, 2010
Application Instructions:
- Only 1 application per elementary school will be accepted.
- Must complete ALL information on application and stay within word limits.
- Responses must be typed into this form. No handwritten applications will be accepted.

- Grants will be announced by 5:00pm Friday, May 28th. Top 10 finalists will receive a call the morning of Friday, May 28th—please make sure you are available during this time!
