2007 SPARK Unveils New Elementary 3-6 Curriculum

The SPARK programs new addition of the Elementary 3-6 Curriculum is now available for purchase.

SPARK PE 3-6 Manual with Instructional Media CD
Developed through San Diego State University and funded by the Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). More than a new edition, a new way of teaching elementary PE. Over 500 different activities presented in more than 20 themed instructional units builds on skills learned in K-2 and provides developmentally appropriate activities for upper-elementary children.

Each unit is written in a skill progression from simple to complex and includes activities to address NASPE National Standards. Red pages "Focus on Fitness," and themes include "ASAP" (Active Soon As Possible), "Chasing and Fleeing," "Aerobic Games," and 7 others. Blue pages shine the "Spotlight on Skills" and examples include "Flying Disc," "Hockey," "Dance," "Cooperatives," and 7 more. Combine an activity from "Fitness" and "Skill" sections then add a cool-down to create a complete SPARK lesson. Personalized fitness monitoring, social skills themes, integration tips, and helpful diagrams complete this comprehensive curriculum. Each SPARK 3-6 Manual comes with a SPARK Instructional Media CD with over 450 skill and task cards, assessment tools, pedometer activities, home play activities and much more!
